Alameda County Department of Child Support Services (ACCSS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as our Deputy Director. In this executive-level role, you will work closely with the Director to shape strategy, lead critical programs, and ensure that our operations align with state and federal regulations.

ACCSS offers a generous compensation and benefits package, including:

Example of Duties

  • Set operational performance objectives.
  • Monitor and direct the operations of the child support program through program management and supervisory staff.
  • Advise the Director on a variety of issues and questions including those to the child support program, and operations.
  • Analyzes and interprets existing and proposed federal and state legislation and regulations, program policies, procedures, and other directives       to determine their impact on department operations.
  • May act on behalf of the Director in their absence and represent the Director and ACCSS before the media, and other groups.

How to Qualify

ACCSS is looking for a leader that can inspire others, expertly communicate, understand the “big picture”, and think strategically about our goals.

To be considered you must qualify through one of two paths:

                   

                 A) Education: undergraduate degree in public or business administration, or close related field; and
                     Experience: 4 years of full-time experience in a governmental organization and 3 years of                  supervising in child support or a closely related filed.


                   OR


                 B) Experience: 7 years of experience in a governmental organization as a Program Manager, Deputy     Director, or Director.
